Literature Text

You carry weights heavier than this world
On shoulders made of paper.
You willingly let go;
I'll be the taker.

You carry weights heavier than this world
In a body bruised and torn.
Such a wretched soul;
So cold and so forlorn.

And upon paper by the candles light,
Written in permanently stained ink,
my love I will swear.
It's in the drips of black all over my hands;
Sending our promises into the air.

There's only ground
Beneath our feet.
So we're parting ways
So two lovers can meet.
Again tomorrow night,
This ritual can repeat.
Such an addicting act;
Tearful, bittersweet.
I never finish anything so I have probably ten different things to finish. This one isn't even finished and I have no clue how to go about it.
